President Donald Trump celebrated the release of a House Intelligence Committee memo alleging to show broad abuse of authority in the top ranks of the FBI and the Department of Justice during a Monday speech in Cincinnati, Ohio.

WATCH:

“Did we catch them in the act or what?” Trump posed to the crowd. “Oh, did we catch them in the act… They are very embarrassed. They never thought that they would get caught. We caught em. We caught em on so much. Like the great sleuth.”

The memo — compiled by House Intel chairman Devin Nunes and other Republicans on the committee — found that the FBI and the Department of Justice did not disclose the political origins of the Steele dossier in its FISA application on Trump campaign associate Carter Page and revealed previously undisclosed testimony from former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe that an investigation into Page would not have occurred without the dossier.

Trump previously celebrated the release of the memo in a Saturday tweet saying it “totally vindicated” his claim that investigations into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election are a “witch hunt.”
