President Trump mocked the “fake news media” in a speech in Cincinnati, Ohio Monday — and the media just had to sit there and take it.

“We’re also thrilled to have had a lot of the fake news media in the back, those cameras are rolling. Hi, folks,” Trump said.

“That’s what’s good about doing it live. They can’t cut you. You know, when you do a tape, you end up saying, what happened to the four sentences they cut out? Where are those four sentences? That’s true. A lot of fake news but that’s okay. Hey, they’re doing their thing. Whatever, I don’t know what they’re thinking, but they’re doing their thing.”

Trump also suggested that Democrats may be “treasonous” in the speech Monday, saying Democrats not applauding good economic news at the State of the Union was “un-American.”

“And un-American. Un-American. Someone said treasonous. Yeah, I guess, why not. Shall we call that treason? Why not.” (RELATED: Trump Targets Democrats Who Wouldn’t Stand At State Of The Union — ‘Shall We Call That Treason? Why Not?’)
