A preview for Nicolas Cage’s upcoming movie “Looking Glass” was released Thursday, and it looks like an intriguing premise.
The plot of the movie, according to the YouTube description, is, “A couple buy (Nicolas Cage, Robin Tunney) a desert motel where they find that strange, mysterious events occur.”
Cage has had a bad run as of late, but “Looking Glass” might actually turn this ship around.
There’s nothing like a dead woman last spotted at Cage’s hotel and lots of shady locals to drive an interesting plot.
I’m usually pretty solid at figuring out the plots and endgames of movies after seeing a trailer. It’s very rare that I end up being way off, but I have no idea what’s going on here.
Obviously, I doubt Cage killed anybody. That’d be way too simple. It has to be some strange setup where the locals know about the motel room having a looking glass, and they bring their victims there. There’s nothing else that really pops as a possibility.
No matter what happens, it looks like Cage has finally made a movie that’s worth watching. “Looking Glass” is scheduled to be released Feb. 16.
