Wisconsin Badgers football coach Paul Chryst isn’t going anywhere anytime soon after he received a new contract late Thursday night.

The Associated Press reported the following:

The University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents has approved new contracts for coach Paul Chryst and two top assistants following a school-record 13-win season.

Amended employment and additional compensation agreements were approved Thursday for Chryst along with offensive coordinator Joe Rudolph and defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard.

The board approved the agreements in closed session. Terms were not announced.

Do you hear all that noise in the distance? That’s the sound of millions of people in Wisconsin celebrating at this news. Honestly, he’ll still be underpaid if he’s getting anything less than $5 million a year. The man has absolutely dominated in his three seasons with Wisconsin, and as a Badger myself, I couldn’t be happier that this guy is the conductor on the power train that is Wisconsin Badger football.

We’re all about winning in the Badger state, and Chryst knows how to win with the best of them. Every year they write us off, and every year we just keep winning. It’s almost like the national media and all the “experts” never learn their lesson.

The Wisconsin way is simply walking off the field with more points than your opponent and doing it the right way. Remember when Miami and their dumb turnover chain took the field against us in the Orange Bowl? I remember that vividly. I also recall how we throttled them.

The rest of college football can keep doing their thing. They can all stick to the flash, the show and trying to get attention. We’ll just stick to winning.
