Not only are this year’s winter Olympians master athletes, they’re doing a pretty good job playing the field during their down-time as well.

According to an Instagram account called @TinderPyeongchang, which has since been deleted after gaining viral notoriety, dozens of athletes are finding their love interests on the popular social dating app Tinder.

This proves two important things. One, Olympians are just like you, your neighbor, and the guy who sits next to you on the metro. They’re young, alive, and long for the companion of a warm body on a cold Pyeongchang night. And two, they couldn’t be more different from you and me because they’re in one of the most elite dating pools of all time.

I can’t be the only person mildly disappointed that all these athletes are meeting up on Tinder of all places. Tinder is for bored college kids and young professionals that live very normal lives and may need a little help in the dating area. But Olympians are different. They shouldn’t have to use some back door dating app to find a date. It’s borderline shocking that nobody’s invented an Olympians-only dating app. If I’m Lindsey Vonn, I don’t want to have to swipe through a newsfeed full of average-joes just to meet up with some burly Canadian hockey center. Just saying.

It’s worth noting that Pyeongchang has handed out over 110,000 condoms since athletes have arrived, breaking down to about 50 per person. In the summer of 2016, Rio handed out 450,000 which broke down to about 42 per person (there were more Olympians in the summer Olympics).

It’s also worth noting that most of these bios are in English and the most attractive athletes are Americans, by a long shot.
