Chelsea Handler blamed Republicans Wednesday for the mass shooting at a high school in Parkland, Florida.
“We have to elect candidates that are not funded by the NRA in November. We have an opportunity to elect candidates who won’t allow kids to go to school and get shot,” the 42-year-old comedian tweeted after a gunman opened fire at school, killing at least 17 before being taken into custody by authorities.

“It is disgusting how many times this has happened and Republicans do nothing,” she added. “You all have blood on your hands.”

In December, Handler blamed President Trump after wildfires swept through parts of southern California and she was forced to evacuate her home.
“Just evacuated my house,” the comedian tweeted. “It’s like Donald Trump is setting the world on fire. Literally and figuratively. Stay safe everyone. Dark times.”
