Goodyear released its new ad with Dale Earnhardt Jr. Wednesday morning, and it might have people asking if the room is a bit dusty.
The commercial focuses heavily on his relationship with his father and racing legend Dale Earnhardt Sr. It follows Jr.’s career over the years, and his rise to his own level of fame and success.

I’m not a huge NASCAR guy, but you don’t have a heart if that video didn’t pull at your emotions a little bit. A young man crawling out of his successful father’s shadow is a story as old as time.
Most young men would never achieve the same level of fame, wealth and success as their father if their dad was Dale Earnhardt Sr., especially giving the legacy that has lived on after his fatal crash. It’s a statistical anomaly that Jr. was able to rise to the occasion, and become recognized for who he was instead of just being Sr.’s kid.
Well done to everybody involved with this commercial. Just an outstanding performance all around.
