The final trailer for Charlize Theron’s upcoming movie “Gringo” was released Thursday.
The plot of the movie, according to the YouTube description, is, “GRINGO, a dark comedy mixed with white-knuckle action and dramatic intrigue, explores the battle of survival for businessman Harold Soyinka (David Oyelowo) when he finds himself crossing the line from law-abiding citizen to wanted criminal.”
The movie also stars Joel Edgerton, who is one of the must under-rated and under-appreciated actors in all of show business.
Personally, I think this movie looks great. The idea of this Harold character running all over Mexico while being chased by drug cartels seems wildly entertaining. Add in Charlize Theron and Joel Edgerton, and how can this movie possibly be bad?
It’s also kind of cool seeing Edgerton in a less than serious role. The guy has made killing on screen as the dark and serious character, and we’re all waiting to see how he does in “Red Sparrow.”
Now he’s opening it up a little bit and trying to garner some laughs.
“Gringo” will be released March 9.
