Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Andrej Sustr got his face wrecked during a weekend scrap with Miles Wood of the New Jersey Devils.
Sustr came in to lay down a little hockey justice on Wood after a cheap shot, but it didn’t go according to plan at all.
Wood put an absolute beatdown on Sustr that left him extremely bloody and messed up.
It doesn’t get much worse than that situation if you’re Sustr. You came over to defend a teammate and ended up getting obliterated. He didn’t just take a beating. Sustr had his face rearranged in a matter of seconds.
Check out the wicked scar that beating left on his face.

This is another reason why we love hockey so much. Justice gets dealt out immediately, and players are willing to spill blood for their teammates. It doesn’t get much better than that.
I want a guy like Sustr on my team any day of the week, even if he did take a brutal beating this time.
