There’s A Good Reason Kate Middleton Didn’t Adhere To The All-Black Dress Code At The BAFTAs

Of course, it didn’t take long for people to blast her on social media for defying the all-black dress code, but there was a reason for it that many probably don’t realize.

As protocol, the British Royal family doesn’t participate or take a stance in political protests and wearing a black dress would have been exactly that coming from the Duchess of Cambridge.

Still, although Middleton didn’t wear black, she came pretty close to it with a dark green gown featuring a black velvet sash just below her plunging neckline.

However that didn’t stop viewers from bashing the British Royal for choosing not to show solidarity with the movement, which is calling for an end to sexual misconduct and gender inequality. Others defended her for choosing to wear green, noting that the color of a dress doesn’t make an impact on a movement, no matter how widespread it may be.

Whichever way you look at it one thing cannot be debated: she looked absolutely amazing.
