A new interview sheds light on how one student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School feels about the media’s coverage of the horrific tragedy that took place at his school.

In an interview with The Daily Wire published Monday, Brandon Minoff said that the media was exploiting the shooting to push for gun control.

“They exploit everything to make it political,” he explained. “They’re more concerned about gun control at this moment rather than the fact that there were 17 people that were killed.”

That’s probably not something that CNN or MSNBC would like to hear.

Multiple commentators in the establishment media aggressively pushed for gun control in the wake of the shooting.

MSNBC host Joe Scarborough smeared people who don’t support new gun control as “domestic terrorist enablers.” He also called them “useful idiots.” (RELATED: MSNBC’s Scarborough Labels Opponents Of Gun Control ‘Domestic Terrorist Enablers’ And ‘Useful Idiots’)

CNN’s Don Lemon also said that people who don’t want to “talk about guns” in the wake of the shooting need to “shut up.”

Minoff also said, “It pains me to see that knowing that 17 of my classmates are dead and they just want to talk about gun control.”

“Students have opinions, they say stuff that they’re against guns, and that gun control is necessary, but they’re making it bigger than it needs to be at this moment.”
