NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. — During his CPAC speech, Donald Trump took a moment to savage Barack Obama, John Kerry and the Iran nuclear deal as the “worst negotiated” deal in history.

“We declined to certify the terrible, one-sided Iran nuclear deal,” Trump said to cheers from the crowd. “That was a horrible deal.”

“Whoever heard — you give $150 billion to a nation that has no respect for you whatsoever?” Trump asked. “They are saying death to America while they are signing the agreement.”

Trump took direct aim at Kerry, who was secretary of state and helped negotiate the agreement with Iran and the U.S., China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, Germany and the European Union. “Kerry may be the worst negotiator I’ve ever seen,” Trump said, “How about this guy? And Obama, of course. He is the one.”

The crowd booed. Trump ended his remarks on the moment by saying America’s enemies will be treated “worse than they can ever imagine.”

$1.8 billion. For what? For what? Why did we do this? Why did we do it? Anyway, we didt certify, and lots of interesting things are happening with that whole mess. We have to treat — people that treat us well, we treat them well. People that treat us badly, we treat them much worse than they can ever imagine.

That’s the way it has to be.
