“We need more Republicans, that’s why you have to get out and you have to fight for ’18, you have to do it,” President Trump said to a large crowd at CPAC 2018.

“We salute our great American flag, we put our hands on our hearts for the pledge of allegiance, and we all proudly stand for the National Anthem,” the president said as he stepped away from the podium for a second as the crowd reacted with a heavy applause and chants of “USA”.

“Above all else we know that faith and family, not government and bureaucracy are at the center of American life,” POTUS continued. “We know that.”

Standing for the National Anthem and the American flag has been a point of controversy throughout the president’s term in office, reaching it’s pinnacle during the 2017 NFL season when many players knelt during the anthem.
