Democratic Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey thought it would be a good idea to challenge his Democratic colleague Sen. Jon Tester of Montana to a quick game of one-on-one, but things quickly took a turn for the worse.
Tester took no time in showing off his skills, shooting an 18-foot jump shot in Booker’s face.

The New Jersey senator decided to dip a shoulder, driving Tester down lane in the paint.
Tester must have played a game or two of basketball in his day, because he was fully prepared for Booker’s moves.

The Montana senator slammed Booker to the ground at the baseline and stole the ball.
While the game might have ended in defeat, Booker has other possibilities for stealing the spotlight. The New Jersey senator is highly speculated to be one of the Democratic frontrunners for the White House in 2020.
