President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump attended Reverend Billy Graham’s memorial Wednesday.

“Welcome, Mr. President, Mr. Vice President, members of the Graham family, and all our guests,” Sen. Mitch McConnell said.

“On behalf of the Senate, the speaker and I are honored you are with us. The man we recognize today shared the gospel with more people face-to-face than anyone else in history. His clear voice thundered through packed tents, stadiums, auditoriums, parks, and plazas the world over.”

“His warmth and graciousness lit up living rooms and touched hundreds of millions of hearts. And this Scotch-Irish son of dairy farmers became a trusted friend and counselor to American presidents and powerful leaders around the globe.”

Evangelical leader Billy Graham passed away last week at the age of 99.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said about Graham, “Had it not been for the ministry of my good friend Dr. Billy Graham, my work in the civil rights movement would not have been as successful as it has been.” (RELATED: Billy Graham, One Of The Most Famous Preachers Of All Time, Dies At 99)
