A New Jersey man owes his Uber driver $1635.93 after he accidentally ordered an Uber XL ride from a frat party in West Virginia to his family home in New Jersey.

His name is Kenneth Bachman and he apparently blacked out at a party in Morgantown, West Virginia before ordering an Uber XL — Uber’s most expensive option that’s usually a private black SUV — to his house in Sewell, New Jersey.

“We went to a frat party and then went to the bar. I was getting drinks all night; I probably spent like $200 at the bar after already drinking all day,” he said. “Basically, I kinda just blacked out. The last thing I remember was being at the bar and then I just woke up in the Uber next to an older dude telling me I was an hour out from Jersey.”

Hilarious. Kenneth’s parents must be so proud. I wonder what they said when they opened their door around 2 AM, only to find their blacked out son with absolutely no recollection of his whereabouts.

Blacking out at a bar is one thing. But you have to be a real, grade-A moron to try to go home and order the most expensive Uber option and not realize the ride’s gonna set you back a little under two grand. Doesn’t matter how drunk you are, if you have enough brain cells to open your iPhone, you should definitely have the wits to see what the Uber charge is likely to be. It’s right there on the home screen. You don’t even have to look at the address, you just look at the charge. Anything between $5-15 dollars is reasonable. Anything over $100 is probably suspect. This guy deserves to get his account suspended.

Although if Uber is smart, they’d send this guy a notification every Friday and Saturday night at 2 AM and ask him if he wanted to go home yet. Instant money maker. They can thank me later.
