Florida Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz insisted on Thursday that she wants to keep “high capacity, rapid-fire magazines” out of the hands of civilians.

Wasserman Schultz joined CNN for an interview about gun control on Thursday, and made the common mistake of having no idea what she was talking about. (RELATED: Democrat Senator Proposes Restricting Gun That Does Not Exist)

The lawmaker started off by stating that “military-style weapons” should only be available to the military and not civilians, and then pivoted to talk about magazines. (RELATED: Marie Harf Calls Out ‘High Magazine Clips’)

Wasserman Schultz, while stumbling over her words, argued that Congress should be “making sure that we don’t have high-capacity, rapid-fire magazines that allow mass killing and whose primary purpose is to achieve that.”

“That’s gonna stop this problem,” she insisted.

We’re not sure what a “rapid-fire magazine” is, but it sure sounds scary.
