Michigan State Police report at least two individuals were shot and killed Friday morning at Central Michigan University.

The city of Mt. Pleasant has locked down all city buildings. The suspect is James Eric Davis, Jr. a 19-year-old armed, black male wearing a blue hoodie and mustard-yellow jeans, reported WILX 10, Fox News, and USA Today. Police are still looking for Davis, Jr. and described the incident as a “family-type domestic issue” and the slain were not students.

Central Michigan University police suggested Davis, Jr. left the scene of the shooting on foot initiated a campus “shelter in place.” Shots were reportedly fired on the fourth floor of campus dorm Campbell Hall and the school canceled classes for the remainder of the day.

“There has been a report of shots fired at Campbell Hall on campus,” said the school on Twitter. “Suspect is still at large, police advise all to take shelter. If you see something suspicious, call 911.”

A Mt. Pleasant hospital admitted Davis, Jr. Thursday night for a drug-related wound, according to Lt. Larry Klaus of the CMU police department.
