Wisconsin’s horrific basketball season has finally come to an end.

You know when there’s a wounded deer in the road, and you just have to shoot it in order to put the animal out of its misery? Well, that’s a really good way to describe this basketball season for my guys.

Wisconsin went out with a hell of a great effort against Michigan State in the Big Ten tournament, but we’re not even going to sniff the tournament.

Proud of the fight. #OnWisconsin

The people of Wisconsin expect wins, and we will not tolerate losing. We will never accept being anything less than the best.

Hopefully this season is just a one off and it never happens again. Basketball is part of the backbone of Wisconsin. It’s something we all take pride in. It gives us a reason to cheer and crack beers. It’s something that brings us all together.

Now, I’m going to have to watch March Madness with Wisconsin not being there. I’ll persevere, but this sucks. We went out and left it all on the court in our season finale. Hopefully, that’s a sign that this awful season won’t happen again. I don’t know what I’ll do if we miss the tournament two years in a row.
