A Florida middle school teacher has reportedly been hosting a podcast where she espoused a series of racist beliefs about people of color, according to a Saturday report.
Crystal River Middle School teacher Dayanna Volitich has used the pseudonym “Tiana Dalichov” to run a podcast called “Unapologetic” to talk about her reportedly racist views, according to an investigation by The Huffington Post.
In a Feb. 26 episode of her podcast, Volitich agreed with a guest who said a Nigerian child can’t be expected to have the same IQ or learn like a Swedish kid. Volitich also discussed how she tries to spread her views to her classroom, while keeping it hidden from school administrators.
HuffPost was able to uncover Volitich’s secret identity after she revealed she worked at a public school in Florida. Volitich’s photo found on the Crystal River Middle School website also seems to match the one found on her Twitter profile. As well, a website for “Tiana Dalichov” reveals she works in Crystal City, Fla., while public records reveal that Volitich resides in Crystal City as well.
While on Twitter, Volitich reportedly shared anti-Semitic views, wondering about how “complex” the “Jewish question” is. She also declared that the only way to stop terrorist attacks is to “eradicate” all Muslims.
“It isn’t supremacist or hateful to prefer your own people over others,” Volitich said in a tweet screenshot obtained by HuffPost.
A director of educational services with the school district told HuffPo they would be looking further into and could not confirm whether Volitich was “Tiana Dalichov.”
“She does not speak on behalf of the Citrus County School District,” executive director Scott Hebert said. “The views she’s listed [online] are really not in line with how our district operates.”
