FX’s new show “Trust” looks like it will be outstanding.

The plot of the show, according to IMDB, is, “Rome, 1973. John Paul Getty III, the heir and younger member of an oil tycoons’ saga, is kidnapped by the Italian mafia in order to get a ransom. Quite surprisingly, for some undisclosed reason, his family seems not interested at all in having him back.”

I love the idea of another story about the famous kidnapping of the Getty grandson. I saw the movie with Mark Wahlberg a few months ago, and it was OK. Nothing too outstanding, but probably worth watching.

It also looks like “Trust” will be very solid.

The show also has an outstanding cast. Brendan Fraser, Donald Sutherland and Hilary Swank are all major players in the new show. That’s a very solid lineup.

You can’t also overlook just how great FX has been recently with its television content. It just crushes great shows. “Justified” was one of the best shows ever made, and we all know how great “Always Sunny” is. I’m fairly confident “Trust” should be great when it’s released March 25.
