At the conclusion of “The Bachelor” last night, ABC revealed its next Bachelorette for the upcoming installment in May.
She is Becca Kufrin, the 27-year-old publicist from Minnesota that Arie Luyendyk Jr. proposed to and then broke up with for the show’s runner-up.
“Words can’t express everything I’m feeling tonight, but I’m so beyond grateful for the love, support and well-wishes,” she posted to Instagram Tuesday night. “I’m beyond excited for this next chapter of my journey and to have shared the start of that all with you tonight. Now we’re doing the damn thing.”
Becca won over hearts across America for the strength she demonstrated during an after the breakup. She’s also done a considerable amount of work to fight cancer since she lost her father to it when she was 19.
“The Bachelorette” is scheduled to premiere May 28 on ABC.
