Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz released a country song blasting his new Democratic opponent after winning the Texas primary Tuesday night.

Cruz released the song on Twitter right after he defeated challengers Mary Miller, Stefano de Stefano, Bruce Jacobson and Geraldine Sam for the Senate seat. The song was directed at the winner of the Democratic primary, Beto O’Rourke. In the song, O’Rourke is called a liberal who will take Texans’ guns and will open boarders.

“If you’re gonna run in Texas, you can’t be a liberal, man. ‘Cause liberal thought is not the spirit of a Lone Star man,” the song begins. “Beto wants those open borders and wants to take our guns. Not a chance he’ll get a vote from millions of Texans,” the song continued.

Cruz easily won the Texas election Tuesday and will take on O’Rourke in the November general election.
