Michelle Malkin Mocks ‘Open Border Zealots’ For Undermining Immigration Efforts
Fox News contributor Michelle Malkin accused “open borders Democrats” and radical judges of undermining federal immigration policy and said their political agenda is posing a serious threat to the American people.
Malkin was discussing the case of 26-year-old illegal immigrant Ivan Zamarripa-Castaneda who was charged with vehicular homicide for a hit and run accident in Denver. ICE had sought to detain Castaneda, but local authorities released the illegal immigrant into the public on bond. It is still unclear if ICE has apprehended him, according to Fox News.
“Let me talk about that warrant talking point because you hear it a lot from liberal police chiefs and liberal sheriffs. They say, oh, well, we were helpless. Our hands were tied because we didn’t have warrants issued in these cases,” Malkin said Tuesday on “Fox & Friends.” “But the fact is Obama, open borders Democrats and radical judges, social justice judges have undermined the immigration detainer which has been a useful and effective tool for keeping criminal aliens off the streets.”
Malkin accused Democrats and former President Barack Obama of twisting existing law to suit their political beliefs as illegal immigrants continue to murder American citizens.
“They misinterpret, these open borders zealots, misinterpret the court cases many of which of course have upheld immigration detainers because they include probable cause reasons within the forms. The entire immigration history, criminal violations are all listed there,” she concluded. “And it is because of the administrative efforts by the Obama administration to undermine that tool that we have so many people who are killing people with their guns, their knives and their cars across this country. Three hundred jurisdictions have sanctuary policies in place. This happens every single day in America.”
