President Donald Trump blasted the state of California for its self-classification as a sanctuary state for illegal immigrants while on his way to San Diego.
California’s sanctuary policies are illegal and unconstitutional and put the safety and security of our entire nation at risk. Thousands of dangerous & violent criminal aliens are released as a result of sanctuary policies, set free to prey on innocent Americans. THIS MUST STOP!

The tweet is likely the first of several volleys the President will lob at the state’s continued policy of protecting illegal immigrants convicted of crimes from deportation by federal agents. The president is expected to visit prototypes for the border wall while in the state and give remarks to the U.S. military.
The president will also attend a Republican party fundraiser in California. The trip will mark his first visit to California since entering the White House. Trump’s visit also comes on the heels of his administration’s decision to sue the state of California for its laws classifying it as a sanctuary state for illegal immigrants.
