The Atlantic’s Ron Brownstein said, “It continues the pattern we see, just enormous Democratic energy, and a surge in Democratic turnout. If you compare Conor Lamb’s share–total votes to what Hillary Clinton got in 2016, it’s a much higher percentage than what Saccone was able to match with what Trump got in 2016.” (RELATED: American Workers And President Trump Share Amazing Moments In Oval Office)

“On the other hand, I would say that this says that the white working class communities are still a tough, tough slog for the Democrats,” he also said. (RELATED: MSNBC Panel LAUGHS At Pictures Of ‘Working Class White Voters’ [VIDEO])

Brownstein noted that there “are gains” for Democrats–“but still tough, grudging gains from 2016 in those areas. It says to me that the principle Democratic opportunity is still more of the white collar suburbs and the big metro areas.”
