White House Deputy Press Secretary Raj Shah made it clear that the employees in Trump’s administration are taking March Madness seriously.

“Oh, there will be a pool with very high stakes,” Shah told TMZ Sports when asked about what the White House would be doing its brackets.

I couldn’t be happier with this move. Last year Trump didn’t fill out a bracket, and I thought that was a pretty big mistake. March Madness is an excuse for America to dunk on the rest of the world, and we should do it at every possible opportunity.

It brings warmth to my heart to know that the White House has a “high stakes” pool. There’s literally no other way to do it. Don’t give me any of this junk about low stakes. You know who enjoys low stakes? Losers. Winners go big or go home. Sure, you might not win a high stakes pool, but at least you’ll know you gave it all you could on the biggest stage possible.

I hope the rest of the world is watching. This is how seriously we’re taking college basketball. Even the White House is taking time out of running the world to dabble. That’s what America is all about.
