National championship winning football coach Gene Chizik went on spring break to Mexico with his daughters, and that’s an absolutely insane move.
Chizik chronicled it on his Twitter, and one of his tweets read, “My daughters were pumped when I said they could go to Mexico for Spring Break… little did they know, I’m joining them #helicopterdad #springbreak2018.”

What in the hell is Chizik doing? No parent wants to know what’s going on during spring break. I’m sorry if that’s news to all the parents reading this right now, but it’s absolutely the truth.
Bad things happen on those trips. Bad things! If you’re so concerned that you feel the need to travel along, then just don’t let your kids go. Seems pretty simple. This isn’t exactly rocket science or nuclear engineering we’re dealing with here.
I like Chizik. I hated him when he was at Auburn, but he really does seem like a genuine dude. I’m just not sure I can get behind the idea of following your kids on spring break.
