MSNBC host Joe Scarborough accused the GOP of twisting the results of Tuesday’s House special election in Pennsylvania and invoked the murder of Democratic National Committee (DNC) staffer Seth Rich to make his point.
“You know, by the way, Mika, a lot of people on — on TV and conservative radio yesterday were claiming that Conor Lamb was a conservative who just basically followed in Trump’s direction,” Scarborough said Thursday on “Morning Joe.” “That’s actually — this is going to shock you, but like the Seth Rich story and so many others, that’s just not true.”
Co-host Willie Geist eagerly jumped in to remind the audience of Democrat and special election winner Lamb’s distaste for House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, before Scarborough wrapped things up by calling Republicans crazy.
“I’d just remind people yesterday on this show — on our show Conor Lamb called for Pelosi to step aside in Washington,” Geist said proudly.
“Again it’s crazy. They go from saying he’s a tool — a liberal tool of Nancy Pelosi to saying that he’s a Republican,” Scarborough concluded. “And why doesn’t he just switch to the Republican party the day after he wins. It’s ridiculous.”
