Florida Atlantic University football coach Lane Kiffin claimed over the weekend that he successfully predicted UMBC would upset Virginia.

Obviously this is a pretty outrageous claim, considering the fact that a 16-seed has never once beaten a one-seed.

Kiffin posted some evidence on Twitter to backup his claim.

I have no idea if Kiffin is telling the truth or not. The time stamp on the text message is pretty convincing for sure.

Here’s what I do know for sure. I want this to be true so badly. Nothing would be funnier than professional troll Lane Kiffin having successfully called the biggest upset in the history of college basketball.

Maybe he can fall back on becoming a professional March Madness gambler during the football offseason. He can get ESPN to ink a broadcasting deal of his analyzes of the tournament, and I guarantee you that people will watch. The reality is simply that people can’t get enough of Kiffin, especially if he’s now a basketball expert.
