A neighbor of the suspected Austin bomber told MSNBC on Wednesday that he saw no signs that the 24-year-old would have been the type to carry out the attacks.

Law enforcement was able to track the suspect, identified as Mark Anthony Conditt to a motel in Round Rock, TX. Conditt, who killed two people and injured several others with a series of package explosives, killed himself with an explosive device early Wednesday morning after a vehicular chase with police. Jeff Reeb, a neighbor of Conditt’s parents, said he never suspected that Conditt was capable of such terror.

“He seemed like a very normal kid,” Reeb said, “which is what everybody says, or most neighbors say in these type of situations, but, you know, over the years there is nothing that I can point to.”

The motive for the attacks has not yet been identified.
