Johnny Manziel appeared to be in high spirits after watching Texas A&M at the Staples Center for their March Madness game.

“I’m hopeful with where things are at. I’m happy with my wife. I’m happy with my life. I’m doing well. I have no complaints. I’m a lot better off than I have been in the past,” the Heisman winner told TMZ Sports after watching the Aggies get blown out by Michigan in the Sweet 16 Thursday night.

I watched Manziel’s throws during his appearance yesterday at the University of San Diego’s pro day, and he should be hopeful. He looked like his old self as he was slinging it all over the field. Johnny Football was gripping it and ripping it in the rain in front of plenty of scouts.

It’s truly crazy how far we’ve come in this saga over the past two years. Forget about football for a second. There were serious concerns about whether or not Johnny would even live to see today. There was a chance he’d ever play football again.

Now he’s on the right path, playing solid football and looking like he’ll be back sooner than later. What a wild life.
