NBC has fired their affiliate-marketing chief, Scot Chastain, after an internal review into alleged misconduct.

“A thorough internal review was conducted,” a spokesperson for the network’s corporate parent, NBCUniversal said in a statement. “Scot Chastain is no longer with the company.”

Variety first reported on Tuesday that NBC had terminated Chastain, who had been with the company for 23 years, but did not have additional details about his alleged misconduct.

Chastain was responsible for leading all of the network’s marketing, sales and advertising materials across all of their affiliate television stations.

“In addition, I work on existing and developing new business projects that involve the partnership between the network, stations and their respective ownership groups,” his LinkedIn states. “I also serve as Executive Producer/Producer of NBC’s key client presentations plus major affiliate business and marketing meetings.”

NBCUniversal has already scrubbed Chastain’s biography from their website.

NBC tightened rules on personal relationships between staffers back in January after a string of high-profile employees — including Matt Lauer, Mark Halperin and Chris Matthews — were hit with sexual harassment scandals. (RELATED: NBC Reportedly Tells Staff To Tattle On Misbehaving Colleagues)
