Paris Hilton grabbed headlines earlier this year after she got engaged to her longtime boyfriend over the holidays. But it was the $2 million, 20 carat custom designed pear shaped engagement ring that really proved to be the showstopper.

Hilton got engaged to “The Leftovers” actor Chris Zylka, who claims he was shaking before he proposed to her.

But last week, the Hilton Hotels heiress must have been partying a little too hard in Miami because she claims she lost her engagement ring in the middle of a nightclub.

Hilton says she was dancing with friends at the RC Cola Plant when the ring “flew off” her finger. Luckily, her fiancé was there to help the club’s security team search the entire venue for the $2 million piece of jewelry. So they scoured the 50,000 square ft nightclub – which holds a maximum of 7,000 people – for the lost ring. Hilton apparently “waited in tears” while they searched.

But luckily, the ring is hard to miss and somebody located it in an ice bucket near their VIP table. And Hilton recovered her jewelry.

Hilton is probably pretty used to expensive statement pieces, so it’s not that surprising that she’s so carefree about this stuff. Let’s just hope she takes her marriage more seriously.
