According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the New York Giants have reportedly been asking for at least two first round draft picks in exchange for their superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

Beckham has one year remaining on his rookie contract worth approximately $8 million. He is looking to sign a long term contract that will make him the highest paying player in the league.

With so much speculation surrounding the talented wide receiver, the newly hired coach Pat Shurmur, general manager Dave Gentleman, and owner John Mara have been forced to answer questions about it.

Mara said, “I want him to be a Giant. I can’t say it’s a 100 percent guarantee it will happen. Can’t say that about any player.”

Odell Beckham Jr. has a long history of on and off the field issues. According to NJ.com, as of last September, OBJ has lost $221,546 in total when factoring in lost wages from his one-game suspension in 2015. He got suspended after repeated in game fights with then-Panthers cornerback Josh Norman.

Earlier this month, a video was released showing Beckham with a woman was released. In the video, OBJ was holding a suspicious looking cigarette with a pizza on the bed, and the woman was holding a credit card in front of a white powdery substance that has not been identified.

The Los Angeles Rams have reportedly been interested in OBJ. LA has made a number of big name acquisitions this offseason as they are trying to win the NFC West division for the second year in a row. They have already traded for Marcus Peters, Aquib Talib, and signed Ndamukong Suh.

Odell Beckham Jr.’s career in New York may be ending soon, but it’ll take a lot for a team to acquire him.
