President Donald Trump celebrated actress Roseanne Barr’s debut ratings of her new show in his Thursday speech in front of an Ohio crowd.

“Look at Roseanne. Look at her ratings,” Trump declared. “I got a call from Mark Burnett… He said, ‘Donald, I called just to say hello and to tell you, did you see Roseanne’s ratings?’ I said, ‘Mark, how big were they?’ ‘They were unbelievable! Over 18 million people! And it was about us!'”

Trump called Barr Wednesday night to congratulate her on her premier which shocked media analysts in drawing 18.2 million viewers to ABCNews. The TV actress vocally defended Trump in a recent interview with The New York Times.”

“I just wanted to have that dialogue about families torn apart by the election and their political differences of opinion and how we handle it,” Barr told NYT. “I thought that this was an important thing to say at this time.”

“We’ve been in wars for a long, long time, which everybody seems to forget — but working class people don’t forget it because their kids are in it.”
