Johnny Manziel sounds like he’s willing to accept anything in his future, as long as it’s different from his past.

“I’ve gotten back to this point by the grace of God and gotten extremely lucky. So, from here on out anything is better from where I was before,” Manziel told Scott VanPelt on ESPN’s SportsCenter late Wednesday night.

I think it’s safe to say that Manziel is one hundred percent correct here. Forget about the partying and all the wild times. Forget about the haters and the “leeches,” as he has said.

He just needs to focus on slinging the football all over the field, continuing to get better in all aspects of his life and it will work out in the end.

Lots of people lack the ability for great self-reflection. There’s something in human nature that just makes it difficult for us to own up and admit a lot of our mistakes.

Major props to Manziel owning up to his mistakes, and becoming a better man. Everything after that is all gravy.
