Former Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson refused to run the 40 yard dash at his pro day Thursday.
Lamar Jackson will not run 40-yard dash today at Louisville pro day, per @MikeMayock. Jackson did not run at NFL Combine.

So Louisville QB Lamar Jackson won’t record a 40 time, and has been difficult for teams to reach. Seems like he may not be getting the best advice.

Lamar Jackson might be the fastest QB in NFL draft history, so of course he won’t run a 40. This is maybe the dumbest decision I can think of.. play to your strengths, make them pay to see your weaknesses – he is doing the opposite

I guess these are the poor decisions you make when your mom is the one representing you instead of an agent. Jackson’s main strength is his speed. There are plenty of red flags around his ability to read defenses, throw the ball and accuracy.
He should rest on the fact he’s so fast. Why wouldn’t you run the 40? It would have gotten so much news coverage if he did well, and he obviously would have. Who is giving him this awful advice?
I was against his mom being involved from the start, and I’m very much against it still. Parents shouldn’t be involved in the decision making process of pro athletes. It makes no sense at all. Any agent worth the money he’s being paid would tell his client to run. Lamar Jackson’s pro career is in big trouble if he keeps making bad decisions like this one.
