Larry King agrees with former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens that the Second Amendment should be repealed, TMZ reported Thursday.

“I favor changing the Second Amendment,” the talk show host shared when asked about Steven’s comments. “Yeah, repeal it. It’s poorly written.” (RELATED: Dana Loesch Lights Up John Paul Stevens For Wanting To Repeal Second Amendment: Trying To ‘Restrict Speech’ [VIDEO])

“You know who started the Second Amendment was southern Senators,” he added. “So, they could ward off slaves uprising.”

When the reporter asked if that was true, King replied, “yeah, read the history.”

“It was started eventually in one and another area, but southern Senators started it so that they could repel slave uprisings. That’s the Second Amendment story. And the NRA (National Rifle Association) is the worst.”

In Steven’s op-ed, the retired justice said lawmakers should enact “legislation prohibiting civilian ownership of semiautomatic weapons,” increase the minimum age to buy a gun from “18 to 21 years old” and establish more “comprehensive background checks on all purchasers of firearms,” in addition to encouraging gun control activists to push for the “repeal of the Second Amendment.”
