When speculation over whether or not Rob Gronkowski would retire from the NFL began this offseason, rumors of what he would do next began to fly just as fast.
The leading rumor (and my personal favorite) was that Gronk was bound for Hollywood, and while it’s still unclear whether he is going to retire from football or not, it sounds like there’s some truth to his acting aspirations. (RELATED: Sure Sounds Like Rob Gronkowski Is Considering Hanging It Up)

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Sylvester Stallone have both told Gronkowski he could make a killing doing action movies and it sounds like he heeded the movie stars’ advice. The New England Patriots tight end has played himself in a handful of movies, but will reportedly take on an actual role in an upcoming action movie called “Boss Level,” according to a report by the Tracking Board.
Gronk’s role is being kept under wraps, but if the report holds true, he will be starring alongside Mel Gibson, Frank Grillo, Naomi Watts and Annabelle Wallis.
We’ll just have to wait and see if Gronk actually goes for it and what it means for his football career. Either way, “Boss Level” is going to be well worth watching.
