CNN analyst Samantha Vinograd claimed on Monday that President Donald Trump doesn’t know “what’s actually going on” with the Central American caravan headed to the U.S.-Mexico border.

The caravan consists of nearly 1200 people and says that their goal is to seek asylum in either the Mexico or the United States. Trump tweeted about the issue on Monday, insisting that Mexico must stop the caravan at the border.

“I think we’re seeing a Trumpian Twitter tantrum,” Vinograd said on CNN. “He’s upset that no one will pay for his wall so we see him pointing the finger at Mexico, we see him pointing the finger at Democrats, and it’s almost like he saw some story on TV yesterday about these caravans but didn’t bother to consult with any of his team to find out what’s actually going on.”

Vinograd and CNN anchor Ana Cabrera also called out the president for his tweet claiming large groups of people are coming to the U.S. because they want to take advantage of DACA, noting that DACA recipients have to have lived in the U.S. since 2007.

“How many times have we seen the president tweet something that isn’t based in fact?” she asked. “When the president spews these inaccurate tweets about Mexico, it sets him up to be a piñata in the Mexican election that just kicked off.”
