Taylor Swift returned to the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville over the weekend, and put on a surprise show at the location where she was discovered years ago.
Well. Just saw Taylor Swift at the Bluebird Cafe with about 50 other people. She is very talented.

According to USA Today, Swift told the small crowd in attendance, “I wanted to say a big thank you to the Bluebird Cafe. I think any songwriter in town would echo my sentiments and say that this is kind of the only place where this exists — this particular place where you get to come and hear the writer’s take on the songs they’ve put out into the world.”
Here’s some more proof that Taylor Swift is truly America’s sweetheart. She just casually dropped into the spot that started it all more than a decade ago. No huge fanfare or anything. Just showed up and ripped some songs. Imagine being at a small cafe and Taylor Swift, arguably the most famous singer on the planet, shows up to sing a few songs. I’m not even sure what I would do. You probably wouldn’t even think it was real.
There are so many people who get famous and quickly forget their roots. Happens all the time. Money and fame can have a weird effect on people. Not everybody is built to get tons of attention and buckets of cash.
Swift is a reminder that not everybody is automatically corrupted and eager to forget where they come from. Major props to her for coming back home and making the day of everybody in the Bluebird Cafe. I’m sure they won’t forget what she did anytime soon.
