Former primetime Fox News host Bill O’Reilly has a message for President Trump about the border and illegal immigration.
“President Trump is doing the right thing at the southern border but the wrong thing in explaining the policy,” O’Reilly wrote on his website Friday.
“Chaos in Mexico presents a national security problem to the USA, drugs are pouring in here from Mexico and millions of people have bypassed our immigration system to illegally enter America,” he writes.
“Yet, Mr. Trump continues to personalize our problems with Mexico by mentioning rape etc. thereby fogging up the issue. The President has the big picture facts on his side, there is no need to go anywhere else,” he also said.
O’Reilly hasn’t made many public appearances since he left his Fox News position in 2017 over allegations of sexual harassment.
However, when he has, they have often been explosive.
In an appearance on Fox News’ “Hannity” in September 2017, he said that the left doesn’t “want capitalism. They don’t want the electoral college. They don’t want white people…generally calling the shots.
