There are plenty of reasons to get down on the world these days. There is nonstop arguing and partisanship all over the place, but I’ve always said that people come together no matter what is happening during our darkest moments.
This is proof. Thousands of people came together to raise millions of dollars to help people they never even knew. It’s proof that what binds us together will always be stronger than what separates people.
The money obviously won’t bring anybody else back, but hopefully it helps with the healing process. I also have a strong feeling that we’re not done yet. This fundraiser is probably going to keep up for a long time.
