An iteration of NYC’s infamous penis mural is now on display in Stockholm and Swedes are not happy about it, according to The Guardian Friday.

Swedish artist Carolina Falkholt reprised her massive penis mural with a latest depiction called “Fuck the World” in Stockholm, Sweden. Her latest penis mural is blue and appears on a five-story apartment building. It will be covered up, however, due to  complaints from neighbors, The Guardian reported.

“Culture and art are important in developing interesting urban environments,” Camilla Klimt, the marketing manager for Atrium Ljungberg, the company which owns the apartment building, told Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet. “Of course, we care about artistic freedom. But at the same time, we must respect neighbours’ opinions.” Klimt also noted that some people did like the penis mural since it provided an interesting discussion about the body, sexuality and gender.

Falkholt’s previous pink penis mural was previously unveiled in New York City on Christmas Eve on the Lower East Side’s Broome Street. It was later covered up due to neighbor’s complaints to the landlord. Falkholt thought that it would fare better in her native Sweden.

“I think perhaps it will be allowed to remain here, people will get the message and let it take its place in the debate,”the artist told Aftonbladet. “I think there’s more intellectual space to discuss the subject, in a nuanced way.”
