Fired FBI director James Comey confirmed that his wife Patrice wanted Hillary Clinton to be the first female president, and Patrice Comey told ABC News that she was “devastated” when Clinton lost.

“I didn’t take a poll among all the kids, but I’m pretty sure that at least my four daughters, probably all five of my kids, wanted Hillary Clinton to be the first woman president,” James Comey said.

“My wife and girls marched in the Women’s March the day after President Trump’s inauguration,” he continued.

“There was a lotta passion in this house for Hillary Clinton,” Comey told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos as he tried to make the point that he “wasn’t making decisions based on political fortunes.”

Patrice Comey told ABC, “I wanted a woman president really badly, and supported Hillary Clinton. A lot of my friends worked for her, and I was devastated when she lost.”
