President Donald Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron joined together on Monday to plant an oak tree at the White House.

Macron, who will be visiting the United States for three days, gifted Trump with an oak sapling taken from the site of a World War I battle where the U.S. Marine Corps fought back a German offensive.
During a visit to the White House on Monday, Trump and Macron used a pair of shovels to throw some dirt on the gifted tree and smiled for reporters with First Ladies Brigitte Macron and Melania Trump.
Brigitte Macron wore a knee-length cream coat with a black bow, while Melania Trump opted for a black cape and dress. Both ladies rocked sky-high stilettos despite standing in the grass for quite some time.
After planting the tree, the couples departed for Mount Vernon, where they will dine together on Monday evening.
