CNN opted not to cover French President Emmanuel Macron’s live address before a joint session of Congress, and instead rehashed allegations against Trump’s pick for VA secretary, Dr. Ronny Jackson.

WATCH:

When Macron first began speaking at 10:51 am ET, CNN was on a commercial break while Fox News and MSNBC both began carrying the speech. Rather than jumping to the speech when they got back from comercial, CNN instead played video of White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders answering questions about the allegations against Jackson.

Over the next several minutes, CNN mentioned a federal judge’s latest ruling on DACA, new information about the Waffle House shooter and deliberations in the Bill Cosby assault trial.

At 11am, Kate Bolduan took over CNN’s broadcast and went right back to the Jackson allegations, bringing on editor-at-large Chris Cillizza and chief political correspondent Dana Bash for a segment that lasted approximately ten minutes.

CNN finally showed video of Macron’s speech at 11:18am but still did not play any of his audio audio, instead talking over his speech with reporter Michelle Kosinski.

Next, they brought on former Trump national security council official Michael Anton for an interview about Trump’s foreign policy with Iran and North Korea.

Macron finished his speech at 11:40am when CNN was on a commercial break.

Both Fox News and MSNBC carried Macron’s speech in its entirety.
