Rap superstar Kanye West is not just promoting President Trump — he’s also trashing former president Barack Obama.

Kanye tweeted Wednesday:

This comes after Kanye tweeted a photo of himself wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat Wednesday. (RELATED: Kanye West Sports ‘Make America Great Again’ Hat In New Photo — Trump Responds)

Kanye distancing himself from Obama and endorsing Trump seems to be a slap in the face to the former president for a few reasons.

Obama infamously called Kanye a “jackass” in 2009. But after that incident, Obama still put Kanye’s songs on his playlists. (RELATED: Chance The Rapper: ‘Black People Don’t Have To Be Democrats’)

West also reportedly told Hot 97’s Ebro Darden that he “couldn’t get anything done” with Obama.

Kanye’s newfound support for Trump is also a bad look for Obama as Kanye comes from Chicago, Illinois, the city where Obama first cut his teeth as a politician.
