Sen. Rand Paul shot down rumors surrounding Ronny Jackson during a Fox News interview on Wednesday.

WATCH:

CNN dug up dirt on White House physician Ronny Jackson, reporting Tuesday that according to sources, he allegedly “was intoxicated and banged on the hotel room door of a female employee.”

When Fox asked Paul about the allegations Wednesday, he held nothing back.

“It’s one of those things where it sounds a bit, sort of like gossip to me now,” the Kentucky Senator stated. “I don’t know yet what to believe and what not to believe. So, it’s going to take longer for me to understand that situation.”

“And I haven’t looked into it personally. You know, people are going to make accusations and say ‘Bill Hemmer yells at people at work.’ I wouldn’t just take their word for it. I’d ask people and we’d have to get through it to see if it’s a real problem.”

Paul also said “I’m completely open to his nomination. The president had picked him. Like every other one, I try to give some consideration to what the president wants.”
